Yes, I have the same answer. How long did it take you to get the solution? At first, I tried something very complicated by using binary tree!!! It turned out to be very simple :)
It didnt take much time. I just followed this idea. Like for 64 ppl, 32 matches require to eliminate 32 ppl and again 16 matches to eliminate these 16 ppl. Then 8 matches to eliminate 8 ppl and 4 matches to eliminate 4 ppl and so on. (32+16+8+4+2+1).
:) We can do faster! Each match we eliminate 1 person. To find the champion, we need to eliminate 63 people. Therefore, 63 matches is the solution
You are correct. Its an easiest way.
